The competition's bottom side were bowled out for 92, while visiting captain Meg Lanning struck 43 as her side sealed victory with 28 balls to spare. MI had a shocking start after being put into bat, with openers Hayley Matthews and Alice Davidson-Richards both bowled by Sophie Ecclestone for ducks. The next four batters all reached the teens but failed to push on, while the last four MI wickets fell for five runs over the course of eight deliveries as the innings concluded with a ball to spare.
