A 35-year old man is due in court in connection of Minnie Merriman, who was found injured in Arbroath on Monday morning.

Minnie Merriman was described by her family as "incredible, beautiful and brave" The family of a nine-year-old girl who died after being found seriously injured on an industrial estate in Arbroath said they are "devastated" at her loss. Police have named her as Minnie Merriman from West Yorkshire. She died in Dundee's Ninewells Hospital on Monday. Officers were called to the Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight following reports that a child had been found injured. A 35-year-old man, who was known to the girl, has been charged in connection with her death and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court.
