Tesla mechanics working for the IF Metall union have renewed their strike at Tesla workshops in Sweden. Mechanics in Tesla workshops in Malmö, Umeå, Uppsala, Upplands Väsby, Segeltorp and Huddinge will be on strike starting August 13th, after the union failed to reach an agreement with the electric car company's Swedish subsidiary. "Despite lengthy negotiations, we have unfortunately not managed to reach an agreement with TM Sweden AB. TM Sweden AB has given notice that they do not intend to sign a collective agreement for their operations," the union wrote to the Swedish Mediation Institute, according to the Dagens Arbete newspaper. The union temporarily paused the strike, which has been ongoing since October 2023, at several workshops in the spring, allowing roughly 40 mechanics to return to work.
